As one of 2015's most anticipated releases along with "Jurassic World," "Spectre," "Mission: Impossible 5" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Terminator: Genisys" is set to give Hollywood a heavy dose of action.
The movie will star "Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke, "Divergent" actor Jai Courtney, Matt Smith from TV show "Doctor Who," Jason Clark of "Dawn of The Planet of The Apes," Byung Hun-Lee of "G.I. Joe" fame and J.K. Simmons of the recent "Whiplash."
Alan Taylor from "Thor: The Dark World" directed the upcoming film.
According to sources, the plot of "Terminator 5" will follow two time travelling T-800 robots. A report in Screen Rant states that the timeline of the new movie will take place between the events of 1984 (setting of the first film) and 1991, around the time of Judgement Day.
Arnold Schwarzenneger, who reprises his role as T-800 in the upcoming "Genisys," wrote this on his Instagram a while back.
"Hasta la vista, baby. I want to thank the cast and crew of @TerminatorGenisys for a fantastic shoot. It was challenging, it was fun, and it was rewarding. From our director to the producers, from the camera team to catering, from visual effects to hair and makeup - we couldn't have done it without you. I can't wait to see our finished project and I know we'll remind the fans why they fell in love with the Terminator. On July 1, 2015, I'll be back."
A trailer & teaser for the movie have previously been released.
