"Fashion Police" news reported how host Giuliana Rancic was a no-show at the red carpet of the Screen Actor's Guild (SAG) Awards' red carpet coverage. According to a report from Daily Mail, her absence was questioned by viewers, who also dissed the mainstay's replacement, Maria Menounos.
"Fashion Police" news reported that the host was present at hit E! series the post-event coverage held days later. However, viewers who were looking forward to seeing Giuliana Rancic at the SAG Awards red carpet did not hold back at how Maria Menounos "felt left out" at the said event, which was held last Sunday night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
The "Extra" host was joined at the SAG Awards red carpet by "Fashion Police" host mainstay Kelly Osbourne.
Giuliana Rancic's substitute received a lot of negative feedback online for how she struggled to host the glitzy annual event.
"Maria Menounos sucks as the red carpet host. Where is Ryan Seacrest and Guliana Rancic?? #ERedCarpet #SAGAwards," wrote a Twitter user named @leesh_p.
"#giulianarancic where r u? trying to feel in 4 u is making Maria nervous, she seems out of place," said another Twitter user named @Mytlc4you.
"It takes Maria Menounos to realize what a national treasure Giuliana Rancic is," added Mic News writer Jordan Valinsky.
Another staple every E! red carpet coverage, Ryan Seacrest, was replaced by Ross Mathews. The "American Idol" host reportedly had to excuse himself from the event to tape episodes for the hit FOX singing competition.
As for Giuliana Rancic, the statuesque "Fashion Police" host took to Twitter to explain her absence at the SAG Awards red carpet.
The 40-year-old host was on a Mexican getaway with her husband and former "The Apprentice" winner, Bill Rancic. They were also with their son, Duke.
"Seeing all of your super sweet tweets," Giuliana Rancic tweeted to her over 3 Million followers.
"Was still on much needed vacay yesterday & missed u all too!"
"See u at Grammys red carpet. Love u all!," she added.
