Chef Gordon Ramsay To Pay £10.8 Million As He Loses Restaurant Case Versus Father-In-Law

Chef Gordon Ramsay has been ordered to pay a sum of £10.8 Million in rent as he lost his restaurant case versus his father-in-law, Christopher Hutcheson.

According to a report from BBC News, London High Court's Justice Morgan has sided with the father of Tana Ramsay in the highly-publicized feud. The "Hell's Kitchen" star had insisted that his signature was only forged as his father-in-law allegedly used a ghost machine in rental documents for a pub named "York & Albany".

In the middle of the legal battle between Chef Gordon Ramsay and Christopher Hutcheson, Mirror UK also reported how the reality star revealed that he "felt like a performing monkey" with regards to how his father-in-law ran his restaurant business.

However, the judge disagreed that the TV star was not aware of how Christopher Hutcheson used a ghost machine was used in the rental papers of "York & Albany". BBC News reported that Chef Gordon Ramsay always knew about how the ghost machine was used for important documents that needed his signature, including "York & Albany's" rental contract.

As a result of the court's decision, the culinary master turned reality star will now be held accountable for a £640,000-a-year rental agreement for a lease for the said establishment.

Located near London's Regent's Park, the rental contract for "York & Albany" was signed in 2007 and will run for 25 years.

"Accordingly, I find that Mr. Ramsay knew, long before the entry into the agreement for lease and the lease of the premises, that the machine was routinely used to place his signature on legal documents," the judge explained.

"I do not accept his evidence to the contrary."

"I find that when Mr. Hutcheson committed Mr. Ramsay to the guarantee in the lease of the premises, Mr. Hutcheson was acting within the wide general authority conferred on him by Mr. Ramsay at all times until Mr. Hutcheson's dismissal in October 2010," the High Court official ruled.
