"Midnight City" episode by The CW Network TV series "Arrow" this week was full of action just as advertised.
Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy), now the new Canary, Roy Harper (Colton Haynes), and John Diggle (David Ramsey) took on government enemy Danny Brickwell (Vinnie Jones) who kidnapped two officials.
They were able to save the hostages but they failed to stop Brickwell for good. Next week, based on the "Arrow" season 3 episode guide released, it looks like they will receive their much needed reinforcement. Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) will return with a bang.
It is very likely that Team Arrow will be able to stop Danny Brickwell. However, in the next episodes, a bigger and more dangerous villain will return. Someone that even Oliver failed to beat. He's no other than Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable).
Talking to the Hollywood Reporter before "Arrow" season 3 episode 11 aired, Nable said his character will be making a return and he's got a lot of agenda to settle in Starling City.
"I've got a lot to do in the back end of the season. You will see lots of Ra's," said Nable, who is also a former rugby player.
He also explained that although there are exciting things set up for Ra's al Ghul, he himself is not sure what are the specifics.
"I know where it starts, and where it leads, but in between I certainly have no idea, which is exciting," he said.
It is not just Ra's al Ghul, Green Arrow and the rest of the Starling City vigilantes will have to deal with. In the same "Arrow" season 3 episode guide from THR, it said Oliver will finally face Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), the reason why he was away from Starling City and was forced to battle the head of the demon. However, Oliver will make a not so popular decision with regards to Merlyn's life.
"Oliver will not kill Malcolm, because he has lost his dad and mom, so he doesn't want his sister to lose her father," Barrowman says. "It creates a whole new relationship between the three of them."
