In the last "Gotham" episode, Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) was able to get her revenge on Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor).
However, that didn't last long. Victor Zsasz showed up and shot Mooney and her men. Good thing, she escaped with the help of Butch. At the end of the episode, Mooney ran to Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) and said she will be gone for some time.
Definitely, that is not the last that fans will see of her. However, with her not visible in the city, her mortal enemy Cobblepot will have a leeway to do his things and meet new people. One of which is Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith). According to a "Gotham" episode guide from Taylor, the Penguin will finally meet the young man who will grow as the Riddler.
In an interview with the Wrap, Taylor teased that fans will finally get to see two of the show's most loved character interact. In the comics, the Penguin and the Riddler have teamed up in many instances to bring down the Batman.
"We'll see the first meeting of Edward Nygma [a.k.a. Riddler] and Cobblepot [in an upcoming episode]," Taylor told TheWrap without revealing what "Gotham" episode will that be.
"It's the first time you see the classic villains come together in this really interesting and fascinating way."
Taylor also said their meeting will pleasure the two weird guys.
"What Cory Michael Smith brings to the role and what I'm bringing to Cobblepot - they're totally strange guys, but the strangeness is so different that their dynamic is just loaded," he continued.
As for next week's episode titled "The Fearsome Dr. Crane," Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) will deal with a mad biology teacher while Fish Mooney is doing her best to make a comeback. Read the full "Gotham" episode guide below.
