Superman appears with Lex Luthor come "Batman: Arkham Knight" release date? What sorcery is this?
In the latest "Batman: Arkham Knight" trailer unleashed titled "Ace Chemicals Part 3", Batman swings atop Gotham's buildings and a glimpse of tower names appears in the background. One of these buildings is named LexCorp-presumably owned by Superman's nemesis, Lex Luthor. Soon after, rumors surfaced that either Superman or Lex Luthor will appear come Rocksteady's video game release date.
While this is a thrilling concept according to fans, a mere logo does not prove the appearance of either Lex Luthor or Superman in "Batman: Arkham Knight." Rocksteady Studios has neither confirmed nor denied this speculation, and fans are eager to hear more about the upcoming action-adventure PS4 and Xbox One game.
Although if Superman and Lex Luthor do appear in "Batman: Arkham Knight," reports say that their presence could be brief, possibly because of two major reasons.
First is that "Batman: Arkham Knight" will be the final installment to the "Batman: Arkham" series, and it is unlikely that Rocksteady will allow anything else to be highlighted other than the Caped Crusader himself.
In an interview with IGN last year, Guy Perkins shared that while "Batman: Arkham Knight" will be the last, it will be a lasting experience. He said, "If people walk away thinking this is the ultimate Batman simulator, then our job is complete."
"We gave them Gotham City, we gave them Batman at the height of his powers and we gave them the Batmobile. I think those three elements come together to make a great game. If people go away feeling like it was awesome, we've done a good job," Perkins said.
Which leads to the second reason, Rocksteady has stressed that they want players to experience being Batman in the upcoming "Batman: Arkham Knight." Explaining that upon the release date, "Batman: Arkham Knight" will only be a single player game as it is aimed at leaving fans with the ultimate Batman experience.
Director Sefton Hill talked to Game Informer on the matter and said that "this is a single-player game" and that the "Batman: Arkham Knight" team plans "to focus on making the best single-player experience."
"Batman: Arkham Knight" release date is slated for June 2, 2015. Watch the trailer of "Ace Chemicals Part 3" here and find the LexCorp building!
