When "Orphan Black" season 3 premiere episode airs, prepare to get swept by the male clones.
The second season ended with the revelation that Castor is working on a project to produce male clones (all to be played by Ari Millen) that will headline an army.
Trailer and previous reports have also teased what these male clones and what they are capable of. It will be lead by Rudy, a dangerous, ruthless clone whose mission is to wipe out their female counterparts (Tatiana Maslany).
Recent posts also revealed that male clones have an edge over the female ones because they've got information about their targets while Sarah, Cosima, Helena, and Allison are left in the dark.
That is not the only thing separating Rudy and his friends from Sarah and her sisters. While the female clones had a hard time accepting each other, their male counterparts are working well together. In fact, they treat each other like fraternity brothers. So, don't be surprised if you see more than one Castor project working to bring down Sarah in the "Orphan Black" season 3 premiere episode.
"We don't have the reveal of, 'Oh, you're clones,'" Ari Millen told in an interview with TVGuide.com.
"But what we do have is the camaraderie, the brotherhood, the frat-boy-esque [relationship]. We're a very close-knit unit, so the fun part for me was finding how these guys jerk around with each other and how they can express their brotherhood."
Having said that, Millen also revealed that they will have a fallout with one of the clones, the one who appeared several times in the second season.
Mark Rollins, a homicidal Prolethean, is working undercover for Castor. However, after experiencing life outside the military, he will have a change of heart and that won't sit well for his brothers.
"Mark very much wants a simple life," Millen said. "He wants out of Castor, he just wants a family, everything he doesn't have. Moving forward we're going to see that the things he wants aren't going to come easily."
"Orphan Black" season 3 premiere is April 18.
