'Hannibal' Season 3 Premiere, Spoiler Update: True Detective Star To Join Show As Another Scary Dude

| By

Waiting for "Hannibal" season 3 premiere episode must be painful, especially with the report that it will be moved to a later date.

Well, this one might not help but it will surely make you feel excited. "Hannibal" and "True Detective" are not that much different from each other. Both deal with serial killers.

Now, with this new development, the two series have another thing in common. According to a report by TV Line, a "True Detective" alum will join the NBC show.

"True Detective's Glenn Fleshler - he was lawn-mowing murderer Errol - is joining the NBC thriller as... another scary dude. I've learned exclusively that the actor has been cast as Cordell, the personal nurse of the disfigured Mason Verger (now played by Joe Anderson)," TV Line's Michael Ausiello wrote when a fan asked for a spoiler. He didn't say though if Cordell will appear right in "Hannibal" season 3 premiere episode.

"The character is described as 'quiet, very intelligent and definitely creepy,' yet 'attentive' and 'gentle' with Mason. He's a professional who cares about his work, but we get a sense he might be as sadistic as his boss - and a perfect fit to become his potential henchman."

Cordell joining "Hannibal" season 3 was first reported by Ausiello in October last year.

"Hannibal" season 3 premiere episode won't feature much of the usual characters. Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) is still recuperating from his stab wounds inflicted by Dr. Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen). The latter has escaped the US and is now in Europe posing with Dr. Bedelia (Gillian Anderson) as he hunts a new victim.
