'Suicide Squad' Cast News: Margot Robbie Talks 'Harley Quinn' Role; No One To Replace Hardy After His Departure From Project

| By

DC's "Suicide Squad" will be the studio's next release following next year's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" and will be much different from all the superhero films that we've been seeing lately as this one is centered on the villains.

Despite their initial announcement that they have finalized their cast, the movie has been encountering problems with their cast lately; namely Tom Hardy's departure from the project due to scheduling conflicts and Viola Davis' frequent mention of involvement albeit unconfirmed participation.

Margot Robbie who plays the role of The Joker's girlfriend, Harley Quinn, sat down with MTV to discuss her character.

"Yeah, I guess it's intimidating because there's obviously a lot of people I want to please and a character I have to do justice, but it's a challenge. I'm definitely up for it, and hopefully I don't disappoint," said the actress.

"We haven't gotten too far into it. We're still pretty far off. I'm actually shooting a movie before that. So my focus is kind of on that at the moment. We haven't really gotten into the logistics of everything yet."

While Robbie still to shoot a film before "Suicide Squad," one cast member has already been preparing for his role.

The movie's director David Ayer gave an update on the film on his Twitter by publishing the photo that shows Courtney getting in shape for his role as "Captain Bommerang" in "Suicide Squad":

"Suicide Squad" will be the first of its kind, a movie starring villains as the main characters - we just don't know yet if enemies such as The Joker and Harley Quinn will be already introduced in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice," we'll just have to wait and see.
