A few weeks ago we've reported that Bryan Singer is casting the younger versions of Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm. Today, these roles have been locked down by some promising up and comers worthy of playing the iconic characters.

Originally played by Famke Jannsen, the younger version of Jean Grey was reportedly up for grabs between Saoirse Ronan, Hailee Steinfeld and Elle Fanning. This role now has been given to "Game of Thrones" English actress Sophie Turner.

At first it was Taron Egerton of "Kingsman: The Secret Service" who was rumored the top contender in playing Scott Summers aka Cyclops, Tye Sheridan of 2012's "Mud" now owns the role. As for who will take Uroro Munroe's role, two have been in the running of playing Storm: Zendaya Coleman and Alexandra Shipp, the latter has been announced taking on the role.

Director Bryan Singer posted on his Twitter account introducing the latest addition to the cast.

While others have been added to the cast, Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen have been reported not returning to their roles in "Apocalypse."

Patrick Stewart recently confirmed on "Larry King Live" that neither he nor Sir Ian McKellen, will be returning to their respective characters.

"I was learning quite a lot more about it last night, and it is going to be looking very much at the earlier lives of all our characters. And so I don't think we'll be making an appearance," he said.

While "Apocalypse" is almost over a year away, Fox has already announced all of their releases leading up to 2018. The complete list appears below.

"Fantastic Four" opens on Aug. 7, 2015; "Deadpool" on Feb. 12, 2016; "X Men: Apocalypse" on May 27, 2016; "Gambit" on October 7, 2016; "Wolverine 3" on March 3, 2017; "Fantastic Four 2" on June 2, 2017 and the untitled X Men movie on July 13, 2018.
