"How to Get Away with Murder" returns on Jan. 29 picking up from where it left off in its mid-season finale.
While the murder night involving Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) and her student assistants remain the center of the story, the subplots are also intriguing, particularly the one about the characters who were absent when Annalise's husband Sam (Tom Verica) was beaten to death by Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch).

"We get to see more of the resolution of Bonnie and Asher's relationship," McGorry said.
"It gets more complicated, but more fun, too. We get to see two people who are probably not great at relationships trying to work things out, which is painful to watch in some ways."
