DC's team-up movie "Suicide Squad" is going through some casting problems even before production has started. Last week, news that Tom Hardy who's playing the role of the squad's leader "Rick Flagg" is giving u the role due to scheduling conflicts. Shortly after, news broke out that the movie's director David Ayer is pursuing Jake Gyllenhaal to fill the spot. But to anyone who's expecting Gyllenhaal to star in a DC film is in for some disappointing news, as the actor has already passed up on the offer.
Variety reports that the actor declined for unknown reasons. As it stands, including Viola Davis' unconfirmed participation, the movie's main cast is still incomplete.
Current cast includes Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang and Cara Delevigne as The Enchantress.
Being a villain-centric film, "Suicide Squad" will be the first of its kind in a superhero saturated Hollywood. The story follows a group of villains pulled out of prison by the government and sent on dangerous missions in exchange for shorter sentences.
On a more positive note regarding the cast, Austrailian actor Jai Courtney is preparing himself well for his role. Ayer recently posted an image of the actor getting in shape for "Suicide Squad".

Courtney is steadily proving that he's a highly bankable actor in Hollywood, appearing in a number of films last year: "Divergent," "Unbroken" and "I, Frankenstein."
Developed under Warner Bros. and DC, "Suicide Squad" is produced by Richard Suckly and Charles Roveen; with Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Geoff Johns and Colin Wilson as executie producers.
