Samsung has finally revamped its mid-range phones as they now feature a metal unibody design that looks like an iPhone 5s.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 features a metal frame, and a plastic back. It is slimmer than the Samsung Galaxy S5 at 1.8mm. The Galaxy A7 has 5.5inch screen has a 720p resolution inferior than the Samsung Galaxy S5 that features a SUPER AMOLED 1080 resolution, but feels cheap with its plastic shell and faux letter back.

While the Samsung Galaxy A7 has two variants of processor of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 for the LTE/3G Dual-SIM model that supports two quad core processors at 1.5GHz and 1GHz, and Adreno 405 GPUs; and the other processor is an Exynos 5 Octa 5430 chipset (LTE variant) with two quad core processors clocked at 1.8GHz and 1.3GHz paired with the Mali-T628 MP6 for graphics.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has two storage variants of 16GB and 32GB that can be expandable up to 128GB via microSD, and the Samsung Galaxy A7 has a 16GB onboard storage (expandable up to 64GB).

Both phones currently runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat with Samsung's TouchWiz UI.

Samsung Galaxy S5 offers a 16MP Camera with ISOCELL technology, and a 2MP front camera. It is one of the few devices that gives you the option of 4k video recording.

In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy A7 is armed with a 13 MP rear-facing unit and a 5 MP front shooter.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 costs around $649 on Amazon, while the Samsung Galaxy S5 is at $528 according to GSM Arena.
