Gal Gadot's 'Wonder Woman' DC Movie Still Awaits Green Light From Warner Bros. - Will It Still Happen?

| By

When DC and Warner Bros. announced last year that they will be making a solo movie of "Wonder Woman" headed by Israeli actress Gal Gadot, a lot of fans became excited and anticipated what the plot is going to be.

It was reported by Bleeding Cool that the new "Wonder Woman" movie is going to be set in the 1920's, in Paradise Island, the land of the Amazons.

The movie will show "warring Amazonian factions vying for control." The story shifts when a man shows up in the island and will ask for their help. Wonder Woman will then accompany the man back to his world where it will be discovered that the time is 1920's. As told by the source to Bleeding Cool, the man is not confirmed if he will be Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman's love interest in the DC comics.

Furthermore, part two of the movie series will take place during the 1930s to 1940s with no specific plot yet, but the last installment will take place in modern day with Wonder Woman as part of the Justice League.

But could it be true according to ScreenRant that there are six different scripts currently being developed for this another highly anticipated film by DC and Warner Bros.? Even with female director Michelle MacLaren already in place, the development progress of "Wonder Woman" standalone, apparently, is not as fast as we thought it should be.

In an interview with Vulture, Director MacLaren kind of hinted on the real score as far as the progress of the movie is concerned. "I really, really, really can't talk about this," MacLaren told Vulture. "I just picture a drone coming in over the hills and crashing through the glass and flying over here and putting duct tape over my mouth, you know?"

Oh well, we hope the team reaches a united vision on the movie's plot as soon as possible so that cameras will start rolling in no time! "Wonder Woman" is scheduled to show in theaters on June 23, 2017.
