"Banshee" season 3 premiere episode aired on Jan. 9. Lucas Hood (Antonny Starr) remains stuck in the small Pennsylvania town and it seems he is loving his life there. He survived the wrath of former boss Rabbit (Ben Cross) who died in the second season, but back in the town he watches over as a sheriff, there are still many beasts that need to be contained. What is worse about it is that there's a military camp where a corrupt leader hides weapons and cash.
Another notable thing in the "Banshee" season 3 premiere is that Lucas seems to have moved on from Carrie Hopewell (Ivana Milicevic). He is now dating deputy Siobhan Kelly (Trieste Kelly Dunn) while his former lover Carrie found a sex partner in Colonel Douglas Stowe (Langley Kirkwood) who could be one of the many big bads this season.
While, a lot of changes have happened since the second season finale of this Cinemax action series, one thing is still unsolved, Lucas Hood's real name. Many knows about his real identity. He is not the lawful sheriff that people in "Banshee" look up to. Although he has been doing breakthroughs for the town's safety, it is still a mystery what his real name is. Well, it is not just fans who are left in the dark when it comes to the birth name of Lucas Hood, even the cast themselves.
Talking to Zap2it, Ivana Milicevic revealed there are only two characters who know about Lucas Hood's legal name, her character who used to be the protagonists lover and their friend Job (Hoon Lee) who have been with them for a really long time. However, no one from the actors were informed what that name is.
"No. Job and Carrie are the only two people who would know that and, within the world of the show, we would never blow his cover," she said.
"In the real world, the writers want to keep that mystery going. I think they're going to do something with that, I just don't know when."
So the man behind Lucas Hood identity is a total mystery to whoever is involved with the show. Will fans ever learn about it? Well, maybe in the next "Banshee" season 3 episodes, or in the new seasons.
