Slipknot released their fifth studio album ".5: The Gray Chapter" back in October under Roadrunner Records.
This is their first album since tthe passing of their bassist Paul Gray and the departure of their drummer Joey Jordison from the band. While the new bassist has already been identified as Mastondon's guitar tech Alessandro Ventruella. Widely rumored filling in the shoes of Jordison is Jay Weinberg, son of E-Street drummer Max Weinberg.
Though all evidence point to Ventruella and Weinberg as the new members, frontman Corey Taylor says they're not quite permanent yet. The "Psychosocial" singer clears things up in an interview with a Las Vegas radio personality also named Corey Taylor via Loudwire .
"They're not official bandmembers yet, but they are people who play with the band. Time will tell whether or not they're, like, full members." he said.
"With this band, you earn everything. You're not just given that shot; you have to earn it. And so far, they're doing really well. And we're really enjoying jamming with them."
The band kicked off their "Prepare For Hell Tour" with Korn and King 810 last year in October in San Fernandino, CA.
