'Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens' Cast Indonesian Actor Iko Uwais Of 'The Raid 2'; Movie Releasing On Dec. 5

Fans have been treated to a full trailer to the J.J. Abrams directed "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens" late last year shortly after the film has wrapped with production in November. New characters, new lightsabers and a look at the Millenium Falcon in battle - all were shown to give moviegoers a taste of what's in store for them at the end of this year. But plenty is still to be done to the seventh installment of the saga even after a full trailer has been released.

News of even more characters joining the cast have surfaced. Abrams has aquired the talents of Indonesian fight choreographer/actor Iko Uwais of "The Raid 2," reportedly handpicked by the director himself to do some of the fight scenes in the upcoming movie. Joining Uwais, are his Raid co-stars Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed the participation of the actors, although unclear if they're officially cast as actors or just in charge of choreography.

But with "The Raid 2" being hailed as one of 2014's best action releases, it is for certain that we'll be seeing some combat like never before in previous "Star Wars" films.

Episode VII will star Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher playing their iconic roles and will also introduce new stars such as Oscar Isaac (A Most Violent Year), Adam Davis (Girls), John Boyega (Attack The Block), Daisy Ridley (Livesaver), Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones, Hunger Games) and Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'O (12 Years a Slave).

Meanwhile, Episode 8 is already in development; reportedly directed by Rian Johnson of 2013's Looper. "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens" opens this year on Dec. 5.
