"Ant Man," "Guardians of The Galaxy 2," "Inhumans," "Doctor Strange" and a third "Avengers" film split into two parts - Marvel has a lot in store for fans as these titles have all been announced coming out from this year leading up to 2019.
In 2016, will come Marvel's pivotal film "Captain America: Civil War," where we will see the earth's mightiest divided as fellow Avengers Iron Man and Captain America take their disagreements to a whole new level. The upcoming movie will allegedly introduce the hero who will calm the brewing conflict between the two - Black Panther.
T'Challa aka Black Panther is a king of a land in Africa called Wakanda. He is tied to the "Avengers" storyline for two reasons: firstly, Vibranium. The powerful metal, which Captain America's shield is made from can be only be found in Wakanda. Secondly, Thanos attacks Black Panther's kingdom in search of an Infinity Stone.
Black Panther will be played by actor Chadwick Boseman, the actor who took on the role of the "godfather of soul" James Brown in 2014's "Get On Up." Marvel has also announced that a Black Panther solo film will be due out in 2017.
The actor also expressed his excitement over Marvel's announcement.
"I'm excited about it too! I'm beyond excited. It's like to the point where you feel numb and then your mind goes off into, 'Okay, how do I achieve that?' But I think the great thing about it is that this actual character is unique in a lot of ways," Boseman stated in an interview with Variety, as reported by I Am Rogue.
