US TV and radio personality Nick Cannon officially filed divorce papers on Dec. 12, 2014, while Mariah Carey has been working on a property settlement for the couple, according to reports.
The superstar singer and the "America's Got Talent" host where first pictured without their wedding rings last August and it was claimed that the couple had been living apart for months.
Carey has been focusing on her career of late and has just signed an artist-in-residence deal in Las Vegas where she is set to perform an 18-song set list of all her No. 1 hits at The Coliseum at Caesars Palace.
Speaking to People magazine a source revealed that since their separation Carey has been living at the couple's Manhattan apartment with their children, twins Moroccan and Monroe who turn 4 in April, while Cannon has been staying in hotels.

The "344 Year Old" artist filed divorce papers one week after they thrashed out an adequate settlement, TMZ.com has reported.
The date was relevant because on Dec. 2 and the separation was contentious, as Carey was reportedly three-hours late for a Dec. taping of a Rockefeller Center Christmas tree special because she was engaged in a five-hour call with attorneys over not only property but the couple's children. The couple surprised fans with a secret wedding in the Bahamas in 2008, after a six-week courtship.
People also reports that Carey and Cannon's representatives would not comment on their personal lives.
