| By

Apple Inc. has once again begun seeding a new beta of OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 to users today. The latest beta to the upcoming Mac operating system once again stresses developers to continue improving VoiceOver functionalities, Wi-Fi Connectivity, and the Mail app.

The latest beta version takes the OS X 10.10.2 build to 14C99d and can be downloaded from the Update section of the Mac AppStore, as well as the official Developer Center for registered Mac developers.

Various bugs and issues with Wi-Fi connectivity have plagued OS X Yosemite since its public rollout last year and is something Apple is looking to fix in the upcoming public release of OS X 10.10.2, stressing upon developers to improve Wi-Fi functionality over the last two beta builds of OS X 10.10.2.

The update is not expected to bring any new features to the table but Apple wishes to provide stability to developers to continue improving their apps and functionality in time for the release.

Apple has recently faced widespread criticism for the deteriorating quality of its software ecosystem, as users across iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite have seen frequent bugs and a poor overall performance.

Apple has been engaged in an extensive beta program for OS X Yosemite 10.10.2, having expanded it beyond the pool of internal employees and developers to also include members of the Apple Seed program, which allows users to test pre-release versions of OS X.

The expansive beta program might be producing favorable results for Apple as recent reports have suggested that the Cupertino-based tech giant is looking to similarly expand its IOS beta program to expand its testing pool in a bid to fast track software improvements.

The company also released the fourth beta for iOS 8.2 this week as the public release is expected in March, along with the release of the Apple Watch.
