Last year rumors spawn that Sony's upcoming flagship will debut at the recently concluded CES 2015. Unfortunately, the Xperia Z4 was a no show at the event and new rumors suggest that the Xperia Z4 will debut at Mobile World Congress on March 02-05 this year.
Meanwhile, according to the latest update from GSM Arena the upcoming Xperia Z4 is all set for its rumored launch at MWC as it already passed certification in Japan in three different carriers NTT DoCoMo, KDDI and SoftBank.
GSM Arena adds that all three support LTE, including VoLTE, which is the new generation in voice call technology and is slowly gaining support from carriers. The phones also support Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac.
On the other hand, Sony has been tight lipped on the specs and features of the Sony Xperia Z4. But many speculate that the Sony Xperia Z4 will carry its predecessor Xperia Z3's looks, including metal frame, but with more color options.
The upcoming flagship will keep Xperia Z3's 5.2-inch Full HD TRILUMINOS display, but a higher resolution of 2K display.
IB Times also adds that Sony would launch two variants of Xperia Z4: a Quad HD display variant and a Full HD resolution.
Under the hood will be a powerful 2.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa- core processor and 4GB of RAM coupled with Adreno 430 graphics; and a 32GB built-in storage.
While, Master Herald reports that the main focus of the Xperia Z4 will be its upgraded camera that might be likely a 22 or 24 MP primary camera.
Christian Today also claims that the smartphone will feature a 10x Optical zoom along with Xenon flash.
Furthermore, Sony is also rumored to be developing a new Xperia Z4 Ultra and Z4 Compact that will use the same chipset, but they will sport different screen sizes of 6.44inch and 4.77inch respectively. The Xperia Z4 Compact might feature 20.7MP rear camera and a 5MP on the front. While the Xperia Z4 Ultra will have a 16MP on its main camera and 3,500mAh or 4,000mAh battery capacity.
