Gigi Hadid, daughter of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'" star Yolanda Foster, just signed one of the biggest contracts in her growing career. The young model is the now the new face of cosmetics line Maybelline New York.
Last week, Hadid teased her fans by telling them that she had something big in the works. She finally announced on her Twitter and Instagram that she will join the Maybelline family, reported Sports Illustrated.
"I'm so beyond honored & excited (at a loss for words, really) to be the new face of @Maybelline! @IMGmodels." Hadid wrote on Twitter on Jan. 14.
The 19-year-old signed with IMG models in 2011 and her career has been on rise ever since. Hadid landed ad campaigns for Tom Ford eyewear, Victoria's Secret Pink and Guess, according to People.
Hadid shared the big news with Vogue.com, saying that she had been wearing the cosmetic brand since before she was allowed to wear make up.
The daughter of Foster revealed that her go-to makeup was Maybelline's SuperStay 24HR concealer that she would purchase from CVS.
"I pay attention to how every makeup artist does anything," she said. "You have to try different things to see what you like best."
The star's first ad will be revealed in October, but she has been sharing a lot of photos on her Instagram of her latest project.
Hadid's best friend, Kendall Jenner, also landed her own major beauty contract with Estée Lauder. The model announced that she was the new face of the makeup brand two months ago.
Jenner said she found out that she landed the beauty gig during her time walking the runways in Paris.
"I was so excited. I found out backstage in Paris, and they told me I couldn't say anything. So I saw the text and I was like, "Oh my God! I have to keep this to myself!" When I got to my room I started freaking out," she said.
