Revenge Season 4 episode titled Abduction will air on January 18. That is just the thirteenth of the show this season and yet, talks of renewal is already rampant. With the ABC drama show's ratings falling each week, some think this year will be the last people will see the cat fights between Emily VanCamp (Emily Thorne) and Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe).
For ABC president Paul Lee, all these talks although Revenge Season 4 episodes are yet to be completed are not even close to what they are planning. That despite its declining viewership, they are not giving up.
"I've always loved the show, and it's actually a critical brand for us," Lee told TVLine during the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
"We have some great storylines coming up ... and there are ways to reinvent it, too."
So far, Revenge Season 4 is having its worst run since starting in 2011. In its 12th episode 'Madness', it experienced its worst rating ever at 3.67 million, a .30 million decline from its season premier that garnered 3.97 million.
It is not just Paul Lee who thinks Emily's journey will end on Revenge Season 4. Nick Wechsler, who plays Jack Porter in the show, believes they are good for two more seasons.
"I think it can go many more seasons," the actor said in an interview with Mirror.
"I think you can get two more solid seasons out of it - season four and five - and then something would have to shift dramatically after that in order for me to believe that we could get another few solid seasons out of it. With David coming back and everything, I think you've got a solid two [seasons]."
The show made a huge leap this season as it introduced a new big bad in Malcolm Black (Tommy Flanagan), the man behind the fake death of David Clarke (James Tupper).
