Seems like Gwyneth Paltrow is surrounded by famous friends! The "Iron Man" actress recently revealed on an interview with Howard Stern on Wednesday, Jan. 14 where she discussed what it's like to be always surrounded by an A-list crowd.
The 42-year-old "Sliding Doors" actress said on the "SiriusXM" show, "I have some famous friends". She continued, "And I have mostly not famous friends." On her latter statement, Stern got curious and asked Paltrow who her "great" famous friend was. She answered, "My best famous friend is Cameron Diaz. Jay and Beyonce are my others."
Paltrow continued to tell the radio host that she first met Jay Z at a benefit in New York City many years ago and that they "all became friends." She spoke of her ex-husband Chris Martin and Beyonce as well as Jay-Z. "I normally don't do that, but [we vibed] in that particular case." She went on to say that Jay and Bey are "the greatest people. They are funny and sweet, and self-aware and really intelligent."
Stern proceeded to ask the blonde-haired beauty on how she had reacted to the shocking footage of the elevator fight between Jay-Z and Beyonce's sister Solange. This was last May after the Met Gala. Paltrow then answered, "I never say, 'What's going on?'. If any of my friends have anything like that, I call right away. Absolutely... If someone's clearly going through something, I always go straight for it."
Paltrow then talked about more famous people in her interview on Wednesday. She even had something good to say about one of her ex-boyfriend Ben Affleck's current wife, Jennifer Garner.
"I'm friends with [Ben] still," Paltrow told Stern. After she explained that Affleck wasn't ready to be in a relationship when they were still together, she said that this wasn't the case for Garner. "But he settled down, and his wife is awesome! Not only is she beautiful, she's so warm and she cooks, and she's so into her kids. She's hilarious... I had a girls dinner before this summer. (She's my neighbor.) I really like her a lot."
