The blonde-haired "Iron Man' actress Gwyneth Paltrow has been in the dating scene for decades. She was known to have been in a past relationship with two of the hottest men in Hollywood - Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck. The 42-year-old actress had reminisced on her glamorous dating history on Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show on Wednesday, January 14 where she talked about why why her relationships with bot exes did not work out.
Looking back in the past mid-1990s, Paltrow was just in her early 20s when she was engaged to. The duo first met on the set of 1995 thriller film "Seven" and afterwards dated for nearly three years. According to Paltrow, "I definitely fell in love with him. He was so gorgeous and sweet. I mean, he was Brad Pitt!" 51-year-old Brad Pitt is now the husband to Angelina Jolie and a father of 6 children.
Paltrow's her late director-father Bruce Paltrow was also happy with her relationship with Pitt. "My father was devastated," she recalled of their 1997 split. "I was such a kid, I was 22 when we met. It's taken me until 40 to get my head out of my ass. You can't make that decision when you're 22 years old... I wasn't ready, and he was too good for me. I didn't know what I was doing."
In a 2003 interview with Diane Sawyer, she admitted that the painful breakup affected her for five long years but they still remained friends. "I see him, we're friendly," Paltrow told Stern. "I don't hang out with him."
On Affleck, Paltrow also opened up saying, "He was not in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend." Paltrow dated Affleck from 1997 to 2000. They both costarred in a film in 2000 Bounce". "I think that when you're in your twenties, you can get swept up in [good looks]. When you're a kid, you tend to be more shallow and you're also immature, so you think that being with a good looking person validates yourself in some kind of way. It's not true."
