‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’: Hollywood Celebrity And Host Ellen DeGeneres Slams Homophobic Pastor On Her Show; Accusing Her Of Brainwashing The Youth

| By

Ellen DeGeneres has taken a Christian pastor to task after he wrote an article accusing her and Hollywood of promoting and brainwashing young people into homosexuality.

The article titled "Are you aware of the avalanche of gay programming assaulting your home?" was published in the Christian Post by Larry Tomczak, who claimed Hollywood is promoting homosexuality to "innocent and impressionable children".

The 56-year-old talk show host addressed the article at the start of her show.

"The only way I'm trying to influence people is to be more kind and compassionate with one another," she said.

Ellen married Portia de Rossi on August 16, 2008 at their home in Beverly Hills.

"First of all, I'm not 'married', I'm married. And, Larry, I don't even know what it means to celebrate my lesbianism," she said.

The pastor blamed gay characters on shows such as 'Glee' and 'Modern Family', listing the shows in dot points and giving examples of how they promote homosexuality.

"Are you really aware of this avalanche sweeping across our society today? It's not a trickle it's a tsunami," he said.

"All of us need to take note and take action to guard those we love."

The pastor also targeted The Ellen Show in his list of Hollywood programs.

In her monologue, Ellen said "if you ask me, Larry is watching a lot of gay TV".

"Ellen DeGeneres celebrates her lesbianism and 'marriage' in between appearances of guests like Taylor Swift to attract young girls," he wrote.

Ellen held up a spinning vortex towards the audience at her show and pretended to start brainwashing her audience.

"I don't have an agenda. I'm not here to brainwash anyone," she said.

"Attention youth of the world: I want you to live your lives being exactly who you are. Be true to yourself - the most important thing is to be true to yourself. The second most important thing is that you wear Ellen underwear and only Ellen underwear.

"Be true to yourself - the most important thing is to be true to yourself. That is the message I'm sending out."
