CW Network's "iZombie" trailer has been released. After nine months of waiting, fans can now see what the new show about undead creatuers is like. A few days ago, CW released a mid-season promo for its shows wherein "iZombie" main protagonist Olivia Moore (who Rose McIver portrays) appeared. Now, comics and non-comic fans alike will get to see how the brain-eating Liv is like in live action. The series will premiere on March 17.

Based on the "iZombie" trailer, the title itself, or on the DC comic book of the same name where it is based from, you can't be wronged if you compare this to AMC series "The Walking Dead." However, for some people, they can't help but compare it to another Warner Bros.-distributed series "Veronica Mars." The reason behind is the fact that both shows are produced by Rob Thomas and stars a blonde who solves crimes.

However, for Rob Thomas, "iZombie" is different from "Veronica Mars" which run for three seasons.

"Veronica is hardened," Thomas explained to critics during the Television Critics Association's winter TV previews.

"I always wanted us to, at our best in those voice-overs, strive for this very Raymond Chandler-esque hard-boiled, cynical world view. Liv in iZombie is more naturally a softer character. Part of the journey for her is a return to sweetness and light and find things in life that are worth going on living for. While we are using [voice-over] for both, I think their attitudes are pretty different."

Love angle is another thing that will make this new CW Network show different. Before the "iZombie" trailer, lead star Rose McIver teased that her character's biggest challenge is the presence of his fiancee.

"It's the most heartbreaking part," McIver told TV Guide (via the iZombie podcast) about the presence of Olivia's fiancee Major Lilywhite (to be played by Robert Buckley).

Aside from McIver, iZombie also stars David Anders from "Once Upon a Time" and "Alias," Nora Dunn from "Entourage," Malcolm Goodwin from "Breakout Kings" and Rahul Kohli.
