CW Network superhero TV series "The Flash" will return on January 20 featuring some members of famous comics villain group Rogues. Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) will return to Starling City stronger than ever as he has with him Heatwave (Dominic Purcell). As the second half of the season goes on, these two are not the only Rogues that Barry (Grant Gustin) will try to stop as "The Flash" series cast "Spartacus" star Liam McIntyre as Weather Wizard.
This "The Flash" Series casting news was first reported by Variety.
"Spartacus is coming to Central City. Variety has confirmed that Liam McIntyre, who played the slave-turned-rebel leader in seasons three and four of the cult Starz series, will play Mark Mardon, brother to Clyde (Chad Rook) - who was the first meta-human to tangle with the Flash (Grant Gustin) in the series premiere."
The new "The Flash" series cast will come to the city to avenge his brother and will appear in 15th and 16th episode. In the comics, Weather Wizard first appeared in Flash #110. His main abilities are to control the weather using his weather wand.
Liam McIntyre is not the first Spartacus star to land a role in a CW Network series. Before he joined The Flash Series cast, his former colleagues Manu Bennet, Katrina Law, and Nick Tarabay also starred/stars in another superhero based show Arrow in which The Flash had crossover episodes with.
CW Network has a way of reunion so don't be surprised if McIntyre get to work again with his former Spartacus co-stars. In fact, in the next episode Revenge of the Rogues, two stars from another CW Network show 'The Tomorrow People' will be reunited. However, it is not sure if they will be on the same scene. Robbie Amell, who plays Firestorm, will get reunited with Peyton List who will play as Leonard's sister.
