Watch out for Scandal Season 4 spoilers ahead.
Most of the fans of ABC TV series Scandal are rooting for Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and President Fitzgerald Grant III (Tony Goldwyn) to end up together. At the start of the fourth season, the two were worlds apart as Liv decided to rendezvous with Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) from a far island. However, as the season progresses, they slowly got back together because of the demand of their respective jobs.
Things are looking good for Olitz fans but the third party in Scandal love triangle is not someone who would just back off. Foley's Jake Ballard is here to stay and fight for his feelings for Olivia.
In an interview with TIME Magazine, the 42-year old said that his character is not going anywhere. He refused to share some pivotal Scandal Season 4 spoiler, though, when it comes to the next step that Jake will take.
"[Laughs] I do wish that sometimes. But not really because as much as all the fans think Olivia and Fitz are meant to be, I think that Jake truly believes that Olivia is the one for him," Foley said when asked by the interviewer if he ever wished "Jake would just cut and run."
"As frustrated as he can get and as much crap as he can take from Olivia, I think that he needs to stick it out, you know? He needs to make sure that she sees what he knows to be the case."
Right now, (major Scandal Season 4 spoiler ahead) neither Jake nor Fitz is standing close to Olivia as she was kidnapped by the mid-season finale. As for her kidnapper, Foley said he knows who kidnapped the leader of the Gladiators and knowing it is 'so good.'
"I know exactly who kidnapped Olivia," he said. "I will not spoil it, but it's so good. It's so good."
Scandal Season 4 will return on January 9.
