Pregnant rumors of Benedict Cumbertbatch fiancé Sophie Hunter have sparked when she attended the Palm Springs International Film Festival with the 'Sherlock' star and was speculated that she sports a baby bump.
According to Mail Online, Benedict Cumberbatch and his fiancé Sophie Hunter have already confirmed that they are expecting their first child.
A representative of Benedict Cumberbatch spoke to the online publication and confirmed the news: 'I am delighted to confirm that Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are expecting their first child. They are both over the moon.'
The New York Post's Page six reports that the actor is 'delighted and excited about becoming a dad.'
Mail Online also noted that a source told the site: 'Sophie is a few months along, and both she and Benedict are very excited about it."
The source also adds that the couple is planning to wed in the next few months, sooner than they have originally planned.
The source continues, "They are also quietly planning to marry in early spring."
In an interview at the 26th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala on Saturday, 'The Imitation Game' actor reveals his plans this year that include his nuptial and filming Sherlock's fourth season. But despite his hectic schedule, he said that his main focus would be his wedding with his film director fiancé Sophie Hunter.
He also adds, "And then [awards season] is just sort of a wonderful burst of manic crazy fresh air in the midst of it all."
The couple got engaged last November and was announced in the Forthcoming Marriages section of The Times.
The announcement read: "Mr BT. Cumberbatch and Miss S.I. Hunter: The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cumberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katharine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London."
It was also previously reported by Mail Online that the most sought actor proposed with a £300,000 ring adorned with diamonds.
