As expected, the "human-sized" teaser trailer for Ant Man premiered on Marvel's Agent Agent Carter on ABC. The footage opens with Dr. Pym's voice calling out to Scott Lang - "Scott, I've been watching you for a while now...You're different."
As explained in an earlier draft of the film's plot, a troubled Scott Lang can be seen exiting a prison to join his daughter, Pym's voice can be heard in the background "Don't let anyone tell you that you have nothing to offer" continuing "this is you chance - to be the hero". It's obvious that Pym (played by Douglas) is giving our protagonist a way to solve his problems saying "I need you to become the Ant Man". At this point we are give a first-look of Paul Rudd fully decked out in the shrinking suit of the Ant Man and in action battling off enemies and riding a flying ant. Rudd in his funnyman fashion closes the teaser with "One question, is it too late to change the name?"
Here's the official synopsis of the film:
"The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios' "Ant-Man." Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."
