Singer Kevin Jonas and comedian Gilbert Gottfried were sent packing on Monday night's Celebrity Apprentice double bill.
While Kevin, 27, was fired for trying to out-think boss Donald Trump in the boardroom, Gilbert, 59, dug his own grave by telling a lewd joke during a company presentation.
"No one has ever died from an off-colour joke and I think it's more important to get a laugh," Gilbert insisted as he tried to save his own skin after the men's team lost two tasks in a row.
But Trump told the funnyman, "I can't fire you for being inappropriate because I'm inappropriate, but you lost and the executives didn't like what you did."
Former Jonas Brothers band member Kevin found himself in hot water after all-male team Vortex lost a task that saw them making a commercial to promote the Neat cloud service and wireless scanner.
The singer, who stepped up as project manager, was at loggerheads with journalist Geraldo Rivera for the second week in a row as the pair clashed over their team's advert.
Kevin employed actors Lorenzo Lamas and Ian Ziering as his confidantes and ignored Geraldo's suggestion of featuring the company logo more heavily in their advert.
The newsman also threw a strop when he found out he would not be doing the voice-over for the commercial.
On the women's team Kate Gosselin put herself forward as project manager, despite not fully understanding the task, and came under fire from Brandi Glanville of "The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills."
