Earlier episodes of NBC TV series "The Blacklist" continue to dodge questions what is it about Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) that makes the show's main protagonist Raymond Reddington (James Spader) so protective of her. In one episode, Liz tried to ask Red straight if he is her father and the latter responded with a straight no. Still, fans are skeptic. In its premier this 2015, fans can somehow hope to see more of Liz's past. According to "The Blacklist" Season 2 Episode Guide by TV Line, her connection to Red will also be revealed.
"The upcoming two-parter -- which kicks off on Super Bowl Sunday and concludes days later in the drama's new Thursdays-at-9 time slot -- will be "really special," attests creator Jon Bokenkamp," TV Line's wrote for its "The Blacklist" Season 2 Episode Guide posted on January 5.
"It takes place on a much larger canvas and is a bit more cinematic. It will have some really great answers about Liz's past and her connection to Red" - as well as feature guest-star Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy) as a Big Bad."
Speaking of Perlman, his role will be a lot bigger than what people thought. As per "The Blacklist" Season 2 Episode Guide from TV Guide.
"Perlman will appear as Luther Braxton, a meticulous thief who plans his international heists over the course of several months or years. The ruthless baddie creates great diversions and chaos to get what he wants - that is, until he faces off with Red Reddington."
Liz will also be haunted by a thing she and estrange husband Tom (Ryan Eggold) did in a not so distant past.
"Seriously, Tom being on the loose is the least of her worries. Remember that now-dead harbor master who stumbled upon Liz holding Tom captive? Well, when his wife files a missing persons report, Liz's name will pop up during the investigation. Let's see if she can lie her way out of this one," Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams wrote when asked for "The Blacklist" Season 2 episode spoiler.
