"The Americans" Season 3 release date is on January 28. Fans still have 20 days to refresh themselves on previous episodes of political period-drama from FX. If you have everything ready for your favorite spies, looks like Philipp and Elizabeth Jennings (Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell) are not. According to a spoiler from TV Line, the couple's dilemma from the final episodes of the second season will continue to inconvenient their missions.
"After a season of having each other's backs, Elizabeth and Philip are back at odds as they disagree about whether to introduce daughter Paige into their dangerous way of life," TV Line wrote for it's the Americans Season 3 spoiler.
"As the Center applies more pressure, "growing divisions" between the couple will upset their fragile marriage, executive producer Joe Weisberg says. "What happens when you have serious conflict with your partner about what to do and how to deal with raising your children?" the EP posits. Feeding the clash is the pair's former handler Gabriel (Frost/Nixon's Frank Langella), who comes out of retirement with more than one troubling message from the motherland."
Aside from Paige, another problem that Philipp and Elizabeth will face is their life as spies for Russia.
"Tensions simmer between Philip and Elizabeth as they disagree over handling orders from the Centre. When Elizabeth loses key intel, Philip enlists Annelise on a mission with an unexpected outcome," the Entertainment Weekly wrote.
When "The Americans" Season 3 release date comes, another thing that fans can expect is Nina (Annet Mahendru) found nowhere in the American soil. As you can recall from last season, she was driving away to escape treason charges from the Russian government for supplying information to the United States' FBI. TV Line said that Nina is somewhere far from Noah Emmerich's Stan Breeman.
The show will have a four-month jump from where it left off in second season. For more of "The Americans" Season 3 release date, spoiler, and update, click here.
