Sources have revealed that "The Twilight Saga" actress Kristen Stewart had an affair with her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders earlier this month, reported People and US Weekly magazines.
US Weekly's next cover story will be about the alleged affair, and the publication has a photo of Stewart with Sanders on the cover of it, holding each other in an intimate position. The magazine said the two got together as recently as July 17 for their tryst.
Stewart, who has been linked to her "The Twilight Saga" on-screen husband Robert Pattinson, is said to be devastated by what happened between her and Sanders.
"Kristen is absolutely devastated," one source told People. "It was a mistake and a complete lapse in judgment."
"She wasn't having an affair with Rupert. It was just a fleeting moment that shouldn't have happened," the source told People. "She never meant to hurt anyone. She's a good person who just made a bad choice."
Sanders is married to model and actress Liberty Ross, who appeared in "Snow White and the Huntsman" as Stewart's on-screen mother. Ross and Sanders have two children, ages 5 and 7, reported US Weekly.
US Weekly will be releasing more photos of Sanders and Stewart this Friday.
