Brooklyn Beckham-Arsenal deal had a pretty significant fanfare for a 15-year old football aspirant. Well, that is understandable since he is the son of former soccer superstar David Beckham and Victoria. In November last year, Brooklyn inked up a short-term deal with the English Premiere club where he has been training with for months in preparation for a professional soccer career.
While the Brooklyn Beckham-Arsenal team is surely beneficial for the English team, it is something that supporters do not really like. According to reports from England, some fans are irate because training at the Emirates Stadium has become more strict since the arrival of the 15-year old Beckham. Before he joined the team, scrimmage are held in front of delighted fans. Now, they have to be performed behind closed doors because of Brooklyn's fans.
Citing an English Premier League source, the Daily Star wrote that Brooklyn's parents have stepped up the security details for their son.
"Whereas before supporters could walk up and watch the games without any problems, the matches are now 'behind closed doors' with restrictions in place as to who can and can't attend.
"It's a no-brainer to tighten security when you have such a big name at games. Brooklyn is one for the future and, because of his family, he attracts loads of attention."
It also does not help that David is present in most of the training sessions of Brooklyn with Arsenal.
"David is at most matches and he is a global superstar, so you can see why the decision was an easy one to make.
"Brooklyn is a big name and he's going to be a huge star. He's already used to having lots of attention so he is taking it in his stride. He's doing really well."
Although a big name already even before touching - football, Brooklyn Beckham's Arsenal spot didn't come easy. Sources said that the 15-year old has a good game and stood out in many training sessions compared to other aspirants.
"Brooklyn is talented and he has stood out in all of the training sessions and games he has played," the source said of Brooklyn Beckham's signing," said a source from Arsenal as per report by Daily Star.
"He has had other teams sniffing around and it was always going to be a case of when, not if, he was signed up by a big-name club. Arsenal realise he can be a huge talent. They have seen that potential and protected their asset."
