Fans and experts alike were beginning to wonder when we might be getting our first official glimpse of Marvel's 'Ant-Man,' which hits theaters this summer as the crowning piece to Phase II of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Well, those questions have now been answered in the characteristically irreverent style that fans have come to love from the comic book mega-studio.
A teaser for the first full-length trailer has appeared online, and it's one of the best of this new breed of ten-second teasers we've seen.
The brief footage has been shrunk down to a microscopic level, and Marvel has gone to the further trouble of blurring the images for those willing to go to the effort of zooming the video to catch a better glimpse.
What we do know now is that the full-length trailer for 'Ant-Man' will premiere next Tuesday during the debut of the highly-anticipated new TV show, 'Marvel's Agent Carter,' starring Hayley Atwell.
Ms. Atwell will be making an appearance in the film as well, presumably alongside Michael Douglas, who plays the originator of the Ant-Man suit, super-scientist Hank Pym.
The film will reportedly consist of some jumps in time, as we are likely to see some of the early days of Pym's work with SHIELD, as the character has long been an instrumental figure within the comics' history.
Playing master-thief Scott Lang and new incarnation of Ant-Man is Paul Rudd, who will help Pym recover his suit technology from rival Darren Cross (aka Yellowjacket), played by Corey Stoll.
They are joined by an all-star supporting cast in Evangeline Lilly, Judy Greer, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and John Slattery.
