Back in December, Marvel's Ant Man director announced to the public that the movie has wrapped up with filming. As one would anticipate, rumors of a trailer have hit the interwebs including this article from Comic Book, reporting that the movie has already been classified by the Alberta Film Classification group, which basically means that the trailer is ready to hit the big screen. The reported trailer clocks in at 1 minute and 48 seconds and has been rated PG.
Weeks later today, the first Ant Man trailer teaser has arrived. Though footage doesn't exceed 20 seconds and is appropriately "Ant Sized", Marvel is informing the public that the "Human-Sized" trailer will come out on Tuesday, January 6 on ABC's Agent Carter's premiere episode. Watch the preview below:
In the meantime, here's the official synopsis for Marvel's smallest super-hero:
"The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time Marvel Studios' Ant-Man. Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."
Marvel's Ant Man stars Paull Rudd as Scott Lang, a thief who must help his mentor Dr. Hank Pym (played by Michael Douglas) in safeguarding the shrinking technology who allows its user to shrink in size simultaneously increasing strength.
In the comic book, Pym is the original Ant Man and inventor of the technology. He also created Ultron, the villain in this year's Avengers: Age of Ultron, premiering April in South Korea.
Ant Man arrives in theaters on July 17.
