It looks like Jeremy Renner and his wife Sonni Pacheco will not even be celebrating their first anniversary together. After only 10 months after tying the knot, and just three months after the news of their secret marriage was revealed, TMZ reported that Sonni Pacheco has filed for divorce on December 30.
According to the TMZ site, the Canadian model cited irreconcilable differences in her court documents that were filed early of last month. Pacheco also reportedly brought up a prenup but later said that it should be ignored because it was based on a "fraud."
The site also reported that Pacheco is requesting spousal support from the actor and their 21-month-old daughter's physical custody. Moreover, TMZ reported that she wants Renner to pay for her rent and moving expenses, and has requested that the 43-year-old "American Hustle" actor give back her passport, birth certificate, and social security card.
Renner is famously known to be quiet about his personal life but in September of last year, he confirmed that he and Pacheco got married a few months prior to the announcement. "I have tried to protect my family's privacy, my wife's privacy," he said in an interview with Capitol File during that time. "I don't need her to get hammered with my life."
He couldn't but gush a bit when he was talking about his adorable baby daughter, Ava, though. "It's the best thing I have ever done -- doing it later on in life," he said. "By then I achieved a lot of things that I wanted to achieve; I'm so blessed for that. Now I can really spend time with family."
On January 13 of 2014, Renner and Pacheco exchanged their vows in a secret ceremony. The couple shares a 21-month-old baby girl named Ava Berlin who was born in March of 2013.
