All is calm, all is bright for the Manzo and Laurita family. Well, temporarily at least. The holidays seem to have brought peace for the clan who has been having feuds and fights for years. On Christmas Eve, Caroline Manzo posted a photo on Instagram of her large family having dinner together, surprisingly along with her estranged younger sibling, Dina Manzo.
"Merry, Merry, Christmas," the 53-year-old reality star of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" captioned the aerial shot, which also showed her 43-year-old younger sister Dina sitting at the same table as Caroline's sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita and brother-in-law, Chris Laurita.
Dina has been having bad blood with her sister Caroline, Jacqueline and Chris for many years now, which was one of her reasons why she left the show "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" and only returned at the last season after both Caroline and Jacqueline had left.
Two months ago, Caroline appeared for a guest interview on Watch What Happens Live and talked about her younger sister's estrangement.
"Over the past four years, five years, Dina has never attended any family function at all. We've got nieces and nephews that are 3, 4, 5 years old, 9 months old, that she doesn't know," she explained, further discussing the ultimatum Dina gave to Chris, saying that Dina told him that he had to leave his wife Jacqueline. "I want you to understand the gravity of that: This is a man that has a son that has special needs, and you're saying for him to leave his wife in order for you to have a relationship with [him]."
Trying not to address the dispute during the holidays, Caroline made it clear that her younger sister was back in their lives. Along with a number of pictures she posted on Instagram of her large family, food, and decorations, the reality star also posted a shot of a mug with a large "C" decorated on it. "Hot toddy's now a nightly ritual thanks @dinamanzo for making on Xmas Eve. Reminded me how much I love them," Caroline captioned the simple pic.
