(Watch out: Revenge Season 4 spoiler ahead)
The mid-season finale of "Revenge" Season 4 saw one major character leave the show for good. Although he will still be seen through flashbacks, Josh Bowman's Daniel Grayson will now only be felt in the show in spirit after getting killed by Kate in the "Atonement" episode that aired on December 7, 2014. When the show returns on January 4, check your heart beat and blood pressure as there is another possibility that on major character is going to be killed.
Since its first season, the ABC drama series has been revolving around the lives of Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) and Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) and their quest to avenge their loved ones. In the next episodes, don't be surprised if one of them leaves Hamptons for good. According to a "Revenge" Season 4 spoiler from showrunner Sunil Nayar, seeing Emily getting killed off could be an option in the remaining episodes.
"Regardless of how the story ends, there has to be something bittersweet to it, because of all the losses that have come along the way and because of everything that's happened," Nayar said in an interview the Entertainment Weekly.
"Her appearance in the Hamptons at the beginning of the show has caused a ripple effect that has led to victories and losses that are so epic that I think it will be hard-however it is we choose to end her story-for her to just walk away feeling perfect about everything."
How soon it is for fans to see Emily finally meet her end? Nayar said he doesn't know. He also didn't clear if it will be in the next "Revenge" Season 4 episodes.
"Whether she lives or die, honestly we don't know yet," said Nayar who took over as Revenge's showrunner in Season 2. "That is such a moving thesis for the show, because there is such loss that comes with this journey. What's interesting to me about how she would finish this journey is what sense of victory does she take and who does she get to walk away with, if she walks away at all?"
