Surprise surprise! Joseph Gordon-Levitt surprised everyone by getting married to his girlfriend Tasha McCauley in secret at their home on Saturday, December 20. This was confirmed by his rep to 'Us Weekly'.
The 33-year-old actor is known to be very good at keeping his personal life private from the paparazzi. In September 2013, it is the first time that the 'Don Jon' actor revealed something intimate about his life - and the news did not give any detail on who he fell in love with.
According to an interview with Howard Stern, "I think I'm a pretty good person and a good boyfriend. Yeah, I just wouldn't want to be with someone who was disrespectful to me." He also said that, "[She's] not in show business."
The star also talked about marriage. He added, "I think that I could partner up with somebody -- I don't know who that somebody is -- I could partner up with a woman and commit to we're going to raise a family and that's a project we're going to commit to for 20-something years." He continued, "I like to not be too committed to any one future that's really far away, necessarily, unless there's a reason, which is why I'm saying if you're gonna raise a family...I can make that commitment."
This is the first marriage for Gordon-Levitt and his girlfriend, McCauley, is the founder and CEO of Fellow Robots which is a NASA-based robotics company.
Aside from being an actor, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is also a director, screenwriter, producer, and an editor. He was a child star previously starring in numerous films. He took a break from acting to study but dropped out to pursue his acting career. He starred on several movies after such as 'Inception', 'The Dark Knight Rises', 'Looper' and 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra'.
