Joseph Gordon-Levitt who is known for keeping his personal life extremely private secretly wed his girlfriend at their home in a secret ceremony at their house on Saturday, December 20. The actor's rep confirms the couple tying the knot to Us Weekly.
The "Dark Knight Rises" actor revealed publicly for the first time that he was in a relationship with Tasha McCauley back in September last year. They have been dating off the radar since then, not letting the public know they were ever engaged. McCauley and JGL met through common friends.
McCauley is co-founder and CEO for Fellow Robots, a robotics company based at NASA Research Park. She's also part of the faculty of Singularity University where she teaches students robotics and artificial intelligence. It is also reported by various sources that McCauley recently completed her Masters from USC.
He also said that "[She's] not in show business." in an interview with Howard Stern.
"I think I'm a pretty good person and a good boyfriend. Yeah, I just wouldn't want to be with someone who was disrespectful to me,"
The actor, 33, went on to talk about partnership and marriage:
"I think that I could partner up with somebody -- I don't know who that somebody is -- I could partner up with a woman and commit to we're going to raise a family and that's a project we're going to commit to for 20-something years," said Levitt.
"I like to not be too committed to any one future that's really far away, necessarily, unless there's a reason, which is why I'm saying if you're gonna raise a family...I can make that commitment."
Joseph Gordon-Levitt appeared in this year's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and an uncredited cameo in Sony's controversial The Interview.
