Audi's famous sportback four-door coupe is getting a facelift in 2015's A7. A new revised headlight design features a more angular design is immediately noticed in the new model, similar to that in the 2015 A8 and the 2016 TT. LED headlamps are already standard while overseas buyers will have the option to have Audi's Matrix LED technology, which enables drivers to use high beams without blinding oncoming drivers. Turning lights now feature a row of LED's that light up in sequence. The grill in the new model also gets a revision getting a more angular look.
There's plenty of options with the interior material including Beaufort walnut wood and Valcona leather to name a few. Audi's MMI interface finds its way to the dashboard as a standard, and can be changed into a head-up display as an option. In the audio system, speakers provided are from Bang & Olufsen.
Driver assist features include adaptive cruise control, improved night vision and Audi's active lane assist, which helps drivers merge into other lanes safely.
Audi also offers some new changes made to the seven speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission albeit limited to the gasoline model. The diesel version meanwhile, is coupled to an eight speed auto mode.
The RS7 is nothing short of powerful, boasting a turbocharged 560-horsepower V8 that tops a 174 mph. It will also come with adaptive suspension, a high performance eight-speed gearbox and Quattro all-wheel drive as a standard. The new model is reported to hit zero to 100 in 3.7 seconds, challenging the Porsche 911 Carrera (0-100 in 4.3 seconds) and the Mercedes CLS63AMG which costs about the same.
The 2015 Audi RS7 is reported to star at $106,500.
The new A7 will arrive in showrooms in the U.S. next year, arriving as the 2016 model. Full specifications will be made available close the the market launch in 2015.
