As Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Knight release date nears, more details are revealed including a possible appearance of the Man of Steel himself, Superman.
According to Movie Pilot, there may have been leaked information regarding the appearance of Superman in the upcoming action-adventure game Batman: Arkham Knight.
The report said: "A few days ago we were offered, what we thought was a slip up for the casting choices made in Batman: Arkham Knight. The IMDB page for the upcoming game had Tim Daly, the voice actor who voiced Superman in the late 90s animated series, reprising his role as the Man of Steel. The information was quickly removed, but this could have been anyone. But could it have been an accidental leak?"
Following this report, numerous articles have surfaced online, speculating that indeed Superman will emerge upon Batman: Arkham Knight's release date. Others have gone on to how Superman will interact with the Caped Crusader and his effect towards the missions, while some only deduce that he will be appearing only for a few screens, sharing one liners or a quick dialogue with Batman.
This remains to be mere speculation as Rocksteady has neither denied nor confirmed Superman's appearance in Batman: Arkham Knight. They have also not explained the rumored leak that gravitated fans towards the assumption that indeed the Man of Steel will cameo in Batman: Arkham Knight.
Should Superman indeed appear, he will definitely be a short guest in Batman: Arkham Knight, and will not be controllable as Batman: Arkham Knight is a highly single-player game. Rocksteady made sure that Batman: Arkham Knight will bring fans the whole experience of saving Gotham, by only assuming the role of Batman.
So until Rocksteady does confirm Superman's appearance in Batman: Arkham Knight, let's keep in mind that this most likely will not happen as Batman: Arkham Knight is largely Batman-centric, and Rocksteady has made sure of that.
Batman: Arkham Knight release date is set on June 2, 2015.
