Lady Gaga news reported how the "Cheek To Cheek" singer slammed other pop stars and record labels who produce music that she calls "karaoke for pretty girls".
According to Lady Gaga news from Yahoo, the award-winning hitmaker dissed so-called musicians who either do not write their music, or cannot sing well.
Pointing out that she is behind 90 percent of her songs, Lady Gaga said that while not all songwriters are capable of being good performers, a recording artist should at least be able to nail one aspect of being a musician.
Lady Gaga said: "If you're not gonna write your own music, you better be able to blow. Because if you can't blow, there's no reason to do the job."
She then addressed her concern towards record labels who build up mediocre singers. "Why are companies paying money to promote them? Because they're beautiful and look good on camera and are kinda-sorta singing along?"
"It's like karaoke for pretty girls," Lady Gaga dissed.
She explained: "When you're a singer-songwriter it doesn't really matter if you're beautiful. What matters is that you create a relationship with your fans, and they care what you have to say."
Lady Gaga's insights appear to have been from personal experience, as she previously admitted the challenges of being in a fast-paced and demanding music industry. Earlier Lady Gaga news revealed how she crashed" after working for six years straight, telling CBS News: "I felt like people were holding me to a pretty high standard."
Lady Gaga told the news publication. "Everybody's hooting and hollering because, you know, I didn't sell 20 million records this time, which I did with my first album. And you know, it's not easy to replicate that. And you just -- I don't have a formula."
The music star told CBS News: "You know, it's one thing to put a train on the tracks. But it's another thing to keep the train on the tracks. You can't just let a train out on the tracks and just run it out; it'll -- I crashed."
"I just didn't even want to make music any more," Lady Gaga confessed.
