Ferrari Warned Of Sebastian Vettel Of Being Ruthless By Former Red Bull Team Mate Daniel Ricciardo Saying 'He Doesn't Rest'

A lot has happened for the four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel this 2014: First, losing his streak in the championship as Lewis Hamilton nabbed this year's trophy, and the untimely departure from his team, Red Bull racing, the team which gave him his four championships.

His team mate Daniel Ricciardo revealed an insight into the mindset of the "Weltmeister", saying that Vettel's loss in 2014's season will only add fuel to the flame in his desire to succeed.

Here's a quote from Ricciardo taken from Express UK:

"The way he basically brings the people who work with him close to him is impressive," said Ricciardo. "It's the way he demands and gets what he wants.

"We [racing drivers] are never happy with our cars and we always want something better from it and the way he approaches that, he is quite ruthless but quite fair at the same time.

"He has a good balance of being serious and looking the team in the eye and saying, 'I need this'. He doesn't rest. He is not going to be happy being behind.

"You do need this otherwise it is easy to get pushed over."

Sebastian Vettel has already started with his duties with his new team Ferrari earlier this month, saying his first experience with the team was like a "fairytale" after completing his first test drive at the Italian manufacturer's private Fiorano track.

"There are a lot of fairytales about Ferrari and how it feels to drive a red car," said Vettel.

"In the end I can only confirm these fairytales. It's not just a story; it's a true legend that exists. And it feels really, really special to become part of that and to be inside the car, to see the people coming, running to the track and trying to climb the walls to see the car."

Sebastian Vettel will debut with Ferrari, drive alongside team mate Kimi Raikkonen at the 2015 Formula Australian Grand Prix.
