However, speculations for the premiere date have surfaced reporting that "Penny Dreadful" season 2 release date will most likely be the same time as its first season, around Q2 of 2015. As teaser trailers have been released including a first-episode title, it seems that Showtime will be meeting the Q2 2015 release date.
Recently, creators led by John Logan has unleashed a teaser trailer of "Penny Dreadful" season 2 revealing what's next for the characters, especially the struggle of Vanessa Ives, portrayed by Eva Green.
In the teaser trailer, Vanessa Ives narrates: "The time when I learned that my curse was also something of a blessing. I learned to make use of the gifts that I had been given. Will you do the same?"
In "Penny Dreadful" season 1, it was uncovered that Eva Green's Vanessa Ives is possessed by evil spirits, and has gone through a depressing period following her transgression involving Mina Harker played by Olivia Llewellyn, and her fiancée.
"Penny Dreadful" season 2 speculations surface online include the focus on the relationship between Vanessa Ives and Josh Hartnett's Ethan Chandler, who has evolved into a werewolf by the end of season 1.
The first episode of "Penny Dreadful" season 2 has already been titled-"Fresh Hell".
