According to "TMZ", the 28-year-old sister of powerhouse well renowned singer Beyonce Knowles, Solange, is caught on a knot by tax authorities just after she got married. The singer needs to settle with the State of California, which have claimed that she owes them more than $55,000 in taxes for 2010 up to 2012. The tax lien was filed 3 days after Solange tied the knot with her husband, Alan Ferguson.
Solange Piaget Knowles is a singer, songwriter, and also model. She is the younger sister of Beyonce. She also expressed an interest in music from an early age and when she was sixteen years of age, she released her first studio album named "Solo Star" in 2003. It had moderate commercial as well as critical success.
In 2004, a year after she released her first album, she married Daniel Smith and afterwards, gave birth to their son Daniel Julez J. Smith Jr. She also had several minor acting roles from 2005 to 2007 and wrote music for her sister Beyonce, and former Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Three years after she got married to Smith, she got a divorce.
She then started to record her own music again and her second studio album named "Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams" on 2008 which peaked at number 9 on "Billboard 200" and also received positive reviews from several critics. She then released a couple more albums following her well-received second album.
This is not the first time Solange was caught up in a scandal. On May 12, 2014, "TMZ" had released to the public a security video footage of the singer physically assaulting her brother-in-law Jay-Z (husband of her sister Beyonce). Jay-Z did not retaliate on Solange and she was restrained by a security guard in an elevator at the Standard, high Line in Manhattan after the 2014 Met Gala.
