Blackberry phones are known for their QWERTY keyboard coupled with track pad. It was Apple's biggest competitor, but when Android phones emerged and almost all phone manufacturers except Nokia switched to Android Operating System things have been different since then. It became Apple and Android dominated market.

But the Canadian tech firm is said to be slowly regaining its dominance on the mobile market. The Blackberry Passport was a great come back for BB, which reportedly sold 200,000 units on its first day of sale.

In addition, BB launched another Classic phone and reportedly has been sold out on its pre-order in North America.

Blackberry Passport Vs Blackberry Classic: Design and Screen

In terms of their designs, both phones carry BB's physical QWERTY keyboard but the BB Passport is relative larger and encompasses the size of a passport, thus the name suggest.

The square shaped BB Passport sports a 4.5-inch 1440x1440 pixel resolution display with a pixel density of 453ppi.

While the Blackberry Classic Q20 features a smaller screen size of 3.46 inches and has a 720 x 720 pixel resolution and a 294 ppi pixel density, relatively lower than its predecessor.

The Blackberry Passport is powered by a 2.2GHz quad- core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974- AA) processor with an Adreno 330 GPU and supported by a 3GB of RAM. Boasting an internal memory of 32GB and expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB).

In comparison, the Classic packs a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 with only 2 GB of RAM available and 16 GB of memory that can be expanded up to 128GB too.

Blackberry Passport runs on BB10 0S and the latter features BB 13.1, that according to Christian Riday that bears bug fixes and a few enhancements.

Moreover, the Canadian tech giant teamed up with Amazon offering up to 400,000 apps.

Blackberry Passport Vs Blackberry Classic: Camera and Price

The BB Passport sports a 13- megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor can record 1080p video at 60fps and 2- megapixel front camera.

The Classic Q20 on the other hand, pulls off an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front camera. It features LED flash, BSI, digital image stabilization, digital zoom and autofocus.

According to GSM Arena BlackBerry Classic is priced at $440, while BlackBerry Passport is around $575.
